Moneyhub vs Emma

Are you looking to download a money management app or looking for an alternative to your current choice? We wanted to take a moment of your time to compare Moneyhub to Emma - another popular app in the market.

“Having tried literally all the money management apps, Moneyhub is by far the easiest to use. This is the only app that I have been able to connect my current accounts, credit cards, savings, investments and STUDENT LOANS (such an important factor for so many people).”

Moneyhub prides itself on its clean and simple dashboard, allowing our users to navigate through the various features without limitation easily. Our team are all users of the app which means we’ve got a very good idea of what makes our app different from others.

Emma is a popular choice, with their lively & ‘fun’ approach to their design. They connect with most UK banks, allowing you to get a view of all of your income and expenditure in one place for day-to-day money management.

At Moneyhub, as well as day-to-day money management, we’re in it for the long run with our retirement modeller and the ability to connect to pensions, investments, mortgages, savings, and more. We want to give you the option to plan ahead with your finances.

We have mapped out just a few comparisons below, which we believe are just some of the most important things users look for when choosing which money management platform to use.

* These features are only available with Emma Pro & Emma Ultimate subscriptions

The first 6 months of your subscription to Moneyhub is 100% free, this is to allow you to get to grips with Moneyhub properly, align it to your pay cycle & utilise the features we have. We have no auto-renewal, so you will not be charged the subscription fee unless you decide to sign up for the paid version.

If you do decide to stick with us, our fee is £1.49 a month or £14.99 a year. We will never sell your data to third parties and our low subscription fee is because we also license our developed software in the B2B market.

Emma also has a free version of their app, however, this has reduced features compared to their paid versions. The paid versions have a 7-day trial of their subscription plans to figure out if you’d like to pay the fee or not.

Emma has 3 different subscription services, starting from £4.99 a month up to £14.99 a month. You may find that the services Emma offers might align more with what you need from a money management app, however, you need to ensure that the extra features on the paid plans are useful to you and provide enough value.

We’re available on desktop and mobile
Along with the Moneyhub Android & iOS apps, we recognise the importance of giving our users the option to use Moneyhub on their laptops or computers. We want to make managing your money accessible to everyone, so if you use spreadsheets alongside your money management apps, our desktop app is perfect for you.

Our connections
Moneyhub has the widest range of connections to banking and financial providers in the UK, so you really can see all your accounts in one place. You can also connect with your pensions, investments and loans, as well as properties and vehicles!
